What is a chemical permeation report?
A chemical permeation report shows how long a chemical takes to pass through a glove or coverall material at a molecular level. This is called the breakthrough time. A glove can look completely intact while a chemical moves straight through it, so permeation data is the most reliable way to choose chemical PPE.
Why does chemical glove selection matter?
No single glove or coverall protects against every chemical. A material that resists one solvent for hours may fail against another in minutes. Chemical glove selection based on real permeation data means your team wears PPE that actually suits the hazards on your site, not just whatever is in the storeroom.
