Create an inventory for your hazardous substances. Ensure you have an up to date Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for each substance
Assess the risks that each substance presents and determine whether these can be eliminated or minimised
Provide information, training and supervision for workers so they understand the risks, and know how to use, handle and store hazardous substances safely
Make sure your workers and workplace are prepared for an emergency and have an emergency plan in place encase of fire, spill, or chemical exposure
Ensure your workers have the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the risks they face and that they know how to correctly wear and maintain the PPE
