Not all filters are compatible with every CleanAIR respirator model, so it’s essential to check compatibility. Generally, P2 (P2R and P2RC) particulate filters are ideal for mechanically or thermally generated particles, such as metal fumes. P3 (P3R and P3RC) particulate filters are designed for highly toxic or high-irritant contaminants, like silica dust or asbestos. For non-powered respirators, a full-face mask is required for P3 classification; however, with a half-mask, P3 filters offer protection equivalent to P2.
For gas and vapour protection, CleanAIR offers Class 1 filters suitable for environments with contaminant levels below 1000 ppm, and select Class 2 filters for higher concentrations up to 5000 ppm.
In environments with both particulate and gas/vapour contaminants, combination filters are available. These can be achieved by attaching P2RC (P2) or P3RC (P3) filters to any compatible CleanAIR gas or vapour cartridge.
