There are major shipping delays to South Island at present as we have been informed by Daily Freight this morning. Please see below:
*Please do not dispatch South Island freight orders until Monday, 8 November
Unfortunately we have been advised that the Aratere services remain heavily restricted and sailings have been cancelled. With the large amount of South Island freight orders that can’t be loaded due to limited wagon capacity and ferry bookings, we are unable to hold any additional South Island freight in our Auckland depot.
We ask that any freight orders to the South Island be held for collection until Monday 8th November, which is when ferry and rail services should be back to normal rotation. This would allow for better and reliable transit times for receivers on orders collected next week, flow within the depot, efficiency of our PUD fleet and this will allow us to clear the South bound freight already collected.
We thank you for your patience during this unforeseen challenge and as always, will do our best to reduce disruption.
Kind regards,
Aaron Somerset | Sales Manager
