Most substances will contain a mix of different chemicals. For example:
Try searching our database for the substance with the highest % weight composition as this is typically considered the primary chemical. In this example: 95-63-6 (don’t forget the dashes).
If it’s not available, try searching for the next highest % weight composition, and so on.
If nothing is found, that means we either haven’t listed that particular CAS number (since there’s so many) or the substance is more commonly known by its chemical or product name.
In that case, please change your answer to the question above to “No”, to search by substance name.
Inorganic Gases or Vapours include carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen sulphide (H₂S), nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), hydrogen chloride (HCl), etc.

Ammonia and Organic Ammonia Derivatives include like ammonia (NH₃), methylamine (CH₃NH₂), ethylamine, dimethylamine, etc.
Dust, Mist, or Fumes (Particulates) include asbestos fibres, silica dust, metal fumes (from welding or smelting), wood dust, paint mist, pharmaceutical powder, etc.)
